Cate Brown

Cate Brown is an open source researcher and human rights advocate located in Brooklyn, New York. Cate currently works as the Program Manager for The Symposium on Strength and Solidarity for Human Rights, a five-year program to bolster rights organizations and renew the bonds between global rights activists. Previously, Cate has served as a Knowledge and Learning Advisor for Mercy Corps’ largest global portfolio in Amman, Jordan. She has worked as a short-term researcher for the US Department of State, Human Rights Watch and Visualizing Palestine, and strongly believes in the power of evidence-based storytelling and popular art as a means to overcome biases, expand access to rights, and influence policy.
